On the recent fires

Dear community,

Our hearts go out to all who were impacted by this unprecedented disaster. Der Nister and its Rabbis are all safe and secure. We have received notes of support and concern from near and far. We are very grateful. 

In days to come all of us will either be directly affected by the fires or find that we have friends who are directly affected.  This will be a shared burden but one that will be more burdensome for some than for others. This is a time to be circumspect and mindful of others. For those who have experienced significant loss it may be too soon to offer comfort in words. Let your presence be the comfort that you offer.
